RAM Landscape Services Portfolio
The following slides show just a small portion of the work that RAM Landscape Services has done. It does show the broad range of projects; from large to small, from urban to suburban, to rural & small town. As you can see by these images, RAM takes great pride in top quality design, craftsmanship, and materials.

GOLDEN VALLEY, MN
A top priority was to design this landscape to fit in to the existing neighborhood.
Landscape is masterfully designed to incorporate traditional stone walls in this Golden Valley home. In the rear of the home a large New York Bluestone patio is placed under the stately canopy of existing oak trees.
Upon completion of building their dream home, the homeowners turned their sights to the exterior and asked us to transform their yard. In the front yard, a stone entry walkway leads to the front door and to a woodland patio surrounded by lush plantings and an eco-friendly lawn. The new design for the backyard took advantage of an existing slope to provide a setting for elements the clients wanted. A series of stone walls create the terraces that define the main features of the backyard - the patio, vegetable and herb gardens, and a hillside garden path. The focal point of the patio is a bluestone bench, inspired by the owners’ travels, built into the patio. A few steps down the hill from the patio are the vegetable and herb gardens. The garden path winds to the top of the hill and through the colorful plantings that tie all the spaces together.

MINNETONKA, MN
The owner wanted a design that differentiated the house from the neighborhood. He wanted us to create an improved front entry and reorganize the backyard spaces, while keeping with his passionate modernist style. We arranged several design meetings with the client to brainstorm ideas. While constantly bouncing ideas off each other, the landscape designer and the owner pushed the design to its final rendition - a study in modern design with geometric grids and planes, all bound by a single, unifying theme. The detailing, both elegant and intricate, reinforces the modernist principles of the garden.
The front yard features a pond-less waterfall as you walk up to the front door. A natural stone sitting wall in the rear of the home, pine straw mulch, 6” spaded trees, and low voltage lighting complete the owner’s desired effect.
This home was inspired by the wooded lakeshore lot and was featured as a 2009 Luxury Home Tour. This property was also photographed in the Midwest Home magazine.

CHANHASSEN, MN
This home sits on a property that overlooks a wooded golf course view.
The home owners were looking to make an unusable back yard into a functional outdoor room. We were able to create an area to sit and relax in a recessed spa, grill at an outdoor cook station and sit around a cozy camp fire.
This site’s greatest challenge proved to be the multiple levels of elevation.
- Waconia, MN
WACONIA, MN
Located on the shore of Lake Waconia, this landscape had to provide the home owners with a spacious patio suited for entertaining.
The entertaining space was conceptualized as an outdoor living room, complete with a lawn “area rug” that challenges the traditional patio concept.
A larger lawn area provides play space for kids. Linear walkways unite the spaces, while the architectural detailing of a new deck and fence and whimsical features provide key points of interest.
